Hebatullah’s Journey
Establishment (1930)
Hebatullah Bros LTD started its operations as a small shop on Biashara Street, Nairobi – Became a leading glass importer and wholesaler
Construction Industry (1942)
Entered into the construction industry by undertaking glazing jobs for buildings and housing projects of the time.
Mirror Work (1958)
Became a pioneer in East Africa by starting the first Mirror Work Industry in the region for the manufacturing of Mirrors and processing work of Polishing and Beveling.
Toughening Plant (1968)
The First toughening plant was launched in East Africa to produce flat toughened glass.
Project Division - GAF (1979)
Launched the project division of the Business, General Aluminum Fabricators which undertook window manufacturing, site execution and glazing works. Corner House, Kenya was the first project done by the company.
Aluminium Extrusion (1983)
To meet the Market Demand for Aluminum Profiles we launched an Aluminum Extrusion Press into the COMESA Market to better serve our Project Division as well as the Customers Demands.
Powder Coating (1986)
The first powder coating facility for architectural aluminum profiles was brought to Kenya thus unlocking the freedom of custom color choices for Architects and home owners.
Curtain Walling (1992)
Introduced the Curtain Walling System to the Kenyan construction Industry. Posta Sacco Co-op was the first building in Kenya to have curtain walling, wherein HBL brought the technology from France and executed it locally in Kenya.
Central-Pivot Windows (1993)
Completed the works for The Laico Regency Hotel wherein Central-Pivot Windows & Automated Doors were used for the first time in history of Kenya.
Expansion (2001)
Started business consolidation and thereby smoved the manufacturing facility from Mombasa to current location in Embakasi, Nairobi.
Aluminum Extrusion Press (2008)
A new aluminum extrusion press was installed to double the production capacity.
Powder Coating (2009)
A state of the art powder coating plant was brought to cater for the huge demand of powder-coated aluminum profiles.
uPVC Kitchen Cabinets (2017)
Our Upvc Division introduced Upvc Kitchen Cabinets in the Kenyan Market to cater for the increasing construction industry.
New Machinery (2018)
Our Glass Processing department was upgraded with Italian machinery for optimum quality assurance for our customers in Polishing, Beveling and Router Cutting.
Toughening Plant (2018)
To meet the market demand and further expand our business a state of art Toughening plant was launched in our facility with capabilities of tempering flat and curved glass.
Lamination Plant (2018)
The awareness for Safety Laminated Glass in the market is increasing and thereby to meet this demand our glass division invested in an Automated PVB Glass Lamination Plant which is also able to process Bullet Resistant Glass up to 70mm in thickness.
Fully Automatic Sand Blasting Machine (2018)
Our Capacity to Sand Blast Glass was increased by 100% with a Fully Automatic Machine introduced looking at the increase in demand for Design Sand blasted Mirrors and Sand Blasted Shower Screens in the Market.
