A tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass manufactured with the aid of heat or chemicals used to strengthen the glass. This process is called ‘tempering’. If it breaks, tempered glass shatters into rounded cubes rather than pointy shards, causing little harm to people around and causing no serious injury. Tempered safety glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than the annealed glass of the same size and thickness., making it extremely necessary for the fabrication of façade systems, skylights, and shopfronts.

A strong glass that ensures safety and security would be the right choice for the construction of a building. Laminated Safety Glass consists of two or more glass sheets molten to each other under high pressure and bonded with a special film (typically PVB – PolyVinylButyral) in between. The PVB film prevents the window pane from shattering like other regular glass, keeping your vicinity safe. Since the glass remains intact in one solid piece on breaking, it prevents the burglars and thieves from breaking into your place (space). Along with safety, laminated glass insulates heat and noise from coming in, making a comfortable and peaceful environment.
